Tradition tells us that
     loss is heavy on the soul,
     but are the tales quite true?

Loss brings freedom
     and sometimes...sometimes,
     leads to enlightenment.

Loss is always hungry,
     but what if we give it relief?
     What if its food is peace?

Do I tell you--
     Go with God? 
     Find your Nirvana?
     Fight on in Valhalla?

I beg of you, 
     come back to me,
          each year,
               as I feed your soul at my altar.
